Lets say that you have made it past the interview, passed the DOT physical and are ready to become part of an elite team. Now its time for reality.

1st you must pass Phase 1 training, this will be held at your home terminal, you will watch videos on the Computer and take little mini test, then when your done with the videos you will take a Mastery Test which you must pass and you can pass if you pay attention.

Some of the catagories you will cover in the Computer training will be.

1. Welcome to Greyhound

2. Introduction to Customer Service. 

3. Substance Abuse - Last about an hour and a half.

4. Sexual Harrasment Awareness

5. The Greyhound Professional.

6. The Basics of Safety.

7. The Greyhound Way.

8. Federal Regulations.

9.  Intro to the Motor Coach.

10. Pre - Trip and Post Trip Inspection.

11. Following Distance and Special Conditions.

12. Intersections.

13. Right Turns.

14. Left Turns.

15. Backing Basics.

16. Railroad Crossings.

17. Merging and Passing.

18. Emergency Procedures.

19. Drivers Daily Log & Recap.

20.  Phase 1 Mastery Test.

If you watch the videos and can learn fast then you should be able to pass the test.  I got a 90 % on mine, you can to.  

If you keep up at it you can complete the Video courses in about two to three days.  You can also choose to prolong it over 5 days.   Some courses are longer than others.  I think one course is an hour in itself.

After you pass this then you will be shipped off to Driver Training School for 2 Weeks.
